Tired: Concrete Cowboys

Wired: Street Serpents

Where’s that Netflix movie at?

“Sent to live with his estranged father for the summer, a rebellious teen finds kinship in a tight-knit Philadelphia community of Black guys who smoke a ton of weed & own snakes.

Snake guys are a different breed man. I keep my circle tight and let zero snake guys in. Don’t need anyone in my group who lives with an animal that could get out and kill you in the middle of the night. There is no bond you can develop between you and your pet snake.

This guy definitely just bought this snake and didn’t think about how he was getting home. He tried to call an Uber. He DEFINITELY tried to get on a SEPTA bus, but hey told Mantua Python to kick rocks. Snake guys don’t think ahead. They live their lives in the now. Decisions are made hastily. Why do you think they own snakes? It’s like people who get tattoos. In the moment they need something to break up the monotony of life so they think getting a tattoo will all of a sudden significantly change their lives. Then end up regretting the Philly skyline on the inside of their forearm when Comcast builds a 3rd tower.

Why do people in Philly love taking their animals into delis?
