Imagine if you told someone in 1993 that Snoop Doggy Dogg who was wanted to murder at the time and at the forefront of the anti-Gangster Rap crusade.
Would be one of the most influential people on Instagram, have a cooking show with Martha Stewart one day, and is listening to children’s Disney songs to remind him to breathe during a pandemic where no one could leave their house. People would be looking at you like this.
I don’t blame Snoop though because there aren’t many places to sit and just hang out better than in your car. You ever get home from a long day of work and “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls comes on the radio as you pull into the driveway? 10 times out of 10 you’re staying in your car to listen to that song all the way through. Then at one point you realize you’ve been sitting in your car for 45 minutes scrolling Twitter and Iris was 10 songs ago. I don’t know what it is about a car, but I feel like they engineer them to have the calm feeling of a sanctuary. No matter what age you are, if you just got your driver’s license or have been driving for 40 years. The car is a place where you have some of the greatest conversations of your life. You ever have a nice cry in the car? Life changing shit.
Play us out Johnny.
